Oklahoma Durable Medical Equipment Providers Form a State Association

Durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers in Oklahoma have officially formed a state association in order to advocate on behalf of the DME industry within the state and act as a source of education for suppliers. Oklahoma Medical Equipment Providers Association (OMEPA) is made up of independent suppliers across the state of Oklahoma who provide care to patients in Oklahoma.

In March 2017, providers representing every corner of Oklahoma began the process of recruiting suppliers who shared the same feelings about a strong, unified association to represent suppliers at the state and federal level.

During the first official meeting in Oklahoma City in Sept. 2017, a board was elected to begin the process of official formation and establish leadership roles to begin the process of formally establishing the association.

Larry Dalton of Advanced Care Medical Equipment in Durant, Oklahoma, was unanimously elected by the board to be the president of OMEPA.
